IBPS concluded the Specialist Officers exam through Common Written Exam (CWE) for recruitment of various officers in specialized areas like HR, IT, Technical Officers etc in the 19 Public Sector Banks running in India.

The Written test of the the IBPS CWE is important because the TWSS i.e. Total Weighted score of the IBPS CWE will the taken as the cutoff for the recruitment by Individual banks. Higher the TWSS better the chance to get the jobs.

Each and every candidates need to keep the certain cutoff in each and every paper which will be about 24 marks in each category approx.

Many of our readers has given their feedback about the exam that the paper for general section was as usual like any other exam of IBPS but the area of specialization paper was little difficult. (It depends on various category, he was appeared for Mechanical)

We have used this practice in many of the exam and it got successful in deciding the cutoff. Just share your expected marks in each paper of Specialist Officers CWE exam and we will finalize the individual cutoff for each subject based on the Sampling method.

    GEN-PWD
    category212121XX21

but showing fail any reason why and totol obtained standard score is 108 insted of 105 any one can help me

    1. each sub cut off-24 for gen but total twss should be 120 for 4 subject,so ur average shld b 30 each,or professional should be 32 and eng 24 min

  2. Accordingly, the 1st specialist officer CWE was held on March 11, 2012 for the following posts
IT officer, Agriculture officer, Rajbhasha adhikari, Law officer, Technical officer, HR/personnel officer, Marketing officer, IT officer & Law officer
Each had a set of educational qualifications to satisfy & applicants were tested on their knowledge about the subject opted for.The written tests would fetch a total of
200 marks & 0.25 will be reduced for each wrong answer as negative mark.

These marks are converted into standardized scores & minimum cutoff score for each test is fixed. Those scoring above this cutoff are treated as pass, while others are considered as fail.
    16000 for 4000 Posts
As per a report in businessline, about 16099 candidates have managed to clear the CWE which was attended by approx. 3 lakh. The breakdown is,

Post name No. of registrantsNo. appearedNo.of pass-outs
    IT Officer 194755 151058 4394
    Technical officer 56633 41760 2332
    Marketing officer 46468 34956 5775
    HR officer 29617 21491 1130
    Agri field Officer 20054 14217 1556
    Law officer 16445 11685 562
    Rajbhasha adhikari2306 1506 193
    IT officer (Sc.II) 24618 17766 157
    Total 3,90,896 2,94,439 16,099

As expected, IT officer post garnered the maximum no. of registrations but the no. of qualifiers are less compared to Marketing officer cadre.
IBPS director has said that a total of 4000 specialist officer vacancies could exist across 19 public banks.
So keeping this mind, the cutoffs might have been fixed leading to such small group being selected for the next stages.

  3. Hi Guys… I scored only 118 out off 200 in specialist officers exam for marketing so it is exactly 59 % and i dont consider it a safe score as i think bank would minimun ask for 60 % means 120 marks…. if u guys scored more than 60 % in specialist officers then u can expect a call but in PO it should be higher than that….. rest is our luck how much vacancies comes in a year… For marketing 5700 candidates passed the exam and i think the total vacancies for marketing officer should be nearly 1200-1500 so almost 30% of the candidates should get a job….. i need ur wished to make my name in that list … thanks… Anil Nain 07206692077
