IBPS CWE PO Recruitment Phase III,New Policy Guidelines

IBPS CWE Recruitment of PO for Phase IIIInstitute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the recruitment improved guidelines and policy for the probationary Officers recruitment with different Public Sector Banks in India.

There is totally a new guidelines and policy for recruitment of PO by IBPS was narrated by Government of India, Ministry of Financial Services.  Under these guidelines the IBPS CWE exam for Probationary Officers will be having new norms :

1.  IBPS and PSBs would ensure common eligibility criteria for all PSBs for subsequent examinations of Clerks and Officers as Age: 20-28 years (for both officer and clerical cadre)

2.  Common Educational Graduation or equivalent for clerical cadre &  Qualification: Graduation or equivalent with 60% marks for Officers

3.  Computer literacy mandatory for both Clerks and Officers

4. There would be a common interview for all PSBs. IBPS will co-ordinate the conduct of common interview with the help of Nodal Banks and thereafter IBPS will declare the results.

5. Relative weightage for written examination and interview will be 80:20.  This shall be used to decide the final merit list;

6. IBPS will ask the candidates to provide the order of their preference of  Banks. Based on the merit list and the order of preference provided by the candidate, candidates will be allotted to the Banks;

7. One time application fee of Rs. 400, for conduct of examination, interview etc. will be collected by IBPS;

8.  All common written examinations may be conducted on-line;

9. One examination for each cadre may be held annually.

This New guidelines shows that the seriousness of Government about the recruitment in Public Sector Banks. The entry to Bank is tougher for guys who have score less than 60% in their graduation level.

What I believe that this is not a good move for keeping the minimum marking criteria in graduation and keeping age lesser. There are many university in India where the marking criteria is very tougher and it is difficult to score higher. Keeping the minimum criteria to 60% would naturally hurt the performance of many of the good students.

What’s your say about the Keeping the Graduation marks to 60% for appearing in IBPS PO III ?
