The UPSC application form for IES exam consists of the application form along with an Information Brochure containing general instructions for filling up the form, an acknowledgement card and an envelope for sending the application.

On getting the IES exam form, read the instructions in the Information Brochure and fill up the application form. Affix a postage stamp of Rs.6/- on the Acknowledgement Card.

Use only the envelope provided with the UPSC form for sending the application form & the Acknowledgement Card. Also write the name of examination viz. “Indian Engineering Service Examination, 2010/2011” on top of the envelope. You also need to pay the IES exam fee of Rs. 100.00 (Rupees One hundred only) in the form of a single Central

Recruitment Fee stamp (NOT postage stamps) which must be obtained from the post office, with the date stamp of the post office and affixed on the application form in the space provided.
Also to avail extended last date for far-flung areas, send the forms only through ordinary post/speed post and not by courier.
