NEET EXAM : Girls was asked to remove her bra

 NEET Exam :A girl students who went to take the NEET exam was asked to take her clothes off . A student had alleged that she was asked to remove her bra during her check-up before the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) Exam. This incident is of ,Kollam, Kerala .This controversy rises on Monday when the father of the 17-year-old girl told the media that his daughter, taking her first-ever NEET exam, was asked to remove her bra after the metal hooks beeped during a security check at the Mar Thoma Institute of Information Technology, the exam centre. He also claimed that “90 per cent of female students had to remove their inners and keep them in a storeroom”.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Tuesday constituted a three-member fact-check committee to probe the alleged incident in Kollam, Kerala. This committee  took the charge to investigate and will have to submit its report in four weeks.

In a statement, the NTA said, “Investigation regarding harassment/inhuman treatment of a candidate of NEET (UG)-2022 at a center in Kollam district, Kerala during frisking at the examination center on 17th July, 2022 under the instructions of the Ministry of Education. A fact-check committee has been constituted for this and the facts will be ascertained.

The members of this committee are Dr Sadhana Parashar, Senior Director, NTA, Saraswathi Vidyalaya Arappura Vattiyoorkavu, Principal Shailaja , Kerala and Suchitra Shayjinth, Pragati Academy, Kerala. The committee will visit the place and after talking to all the concerned persons will verify the facts of the case.

While the testing centre has denied the charge, the National Testing Agency said today that the “NEET dress code does not permit any such activity alleged by parent of candidate:”.

Union Minister of State for External Affairs (MoS) V Muraleedharan on Tuesday thanked Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for taking cognizance of an incident at the NEET exam center in Kollam, Kerala and directing the NTA to ascertain the facts. Meanwhile, BJP workers staged a protest outside the examination centre, where women candidates were allegedly asked to remove their innerwear before entering the examination hall.
