IES 2011 Exam Notifications, Details, Eligibility

Engineering Services Examination,IES is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) of India. The UPSC conducts the Engineering Services Examination for recruitment of engineers to the four categories of Engineering Services:

1. Civil Engineering,

2. Mechanical Engineering

3.  Electrical Engineering and

4. Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.

Candidates selected through Engineering Services Examination are appointed to various posts in governmental organizations like the Indian Railways, Central Engineering Service, Survey of India, Indian Ordnance Factories Service (Engineering Branch), Military Engineer Services, Indian Telecommunication Service, Central Power Engineering Service, Central Water Engineering Service etc.

Indian Engineering Services 2011 Application Last Date

(a) IES Online Application : The Online Applications can be filled upto 7th February, 2011 till 11.59 PM after which the link will be disabled.

(b) IES Offline Application : However the candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi sub-division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands or Lashadweep have the option to apply offline also. For these candidates if applying offline, the last date of receipt of offline applications is 14th February, 2011.

All candidates applying offlying should note that the offline applications will be accepted only by post/speed post, booked from the post offices located in the specified remote areas
