Google along with online education provider Coursera is launching certification for entry level IT support jobs. This certification will be valid globally. The google has said that the Google IT Support Professional Certificate, which is developed by subject-matter experts at Google and offered on Coursera, will help anyone with no prior experience to be ready for an entry-level IT support job in 8 to 12 months.
The certification programme will help learner to share their information with a top companies looking to hire entry-level IT support professionals. The list of companies include PNC Bank, Infosys, TEKSystems, UPMC, Bank of America, Walmart, Sprint, GE Digital. Google will also hire engineers through this programme. This programme is specifically launched to fill the huge 150,000 open roles in IT support. IT supports are the fastest growing occupations globally.
Registrations for the programme opens on January 16 and all courses will launch on January 23.
