IBA Offers 5% Increase in Banker’s Salary

One of it’s kind of Joke, you have ever seen in your life, IBA (Indian Banker’s Association), A toothless puppet of Finance ministry had offered 5% wage hike for bankers in current 10th Bipartite settlement for Bank employees, this was communicated through their Union UFBU.

With the meeting with Banking Unions, IBA initially insisted no increase in salary on the ground of less profitability, Rise in Bad loans or NPA, Current economic condition etc. After lot of discussion they offered 5% wage hike on payslip components in 10th Bipartite settlement.

IBA also stated that in regard to officers, they would like to cover the discussions only upto Scale III officers. They further stated that the Government is not in favor of our demand for introduction of 5 Days Banking.

I don’t understand one side Government is saying that they could not increase the banker’s wage because of shortage of funds where as other side they had constituted the Central Government 7th Pay commission Two years before the end of term.

What I think. Government believe that Banker’s doesn’t have work to paid well ?
