How Do IBPS Allot PO/MT To Participating Banks ?

IBPS Allotment process has been started for the successful candidates of IBPS Probationary Officers (PO) Common Written Exam (CWE) Phase II. Based on the Written test and Interview marks the overall percentage has been provided to candidates. Based on the performance and preferences requested by candidates, bank Job will be allotted to candidates based on merit.

But How do the candidates will be allotted to each and every banks ? it is expected that there are around 21000 vacancies of PO are there with banks. It means the candidate who have scored higher and common in preferences will be allotted the bank of their choice.

For example Top 100 candidates have given their preference of Punjab National Bank (PNB) , and there are 700 vacancies for PO in PNB, do all the first 700 ranker will join PNB ?

NO, this never be followed because how can one bank will allotted the top candidates with lower ranker for other banks. There is a systematic procedure followed by IBPS for selecting the candidates for each of the bank logically.
