My Venue for SAIL Exam for MT (ADMIN) is Evergreen Public School, Vasundhra Enclave , Delhi. SAIL sites has not provided any sample paper for marketing but they have clearly instructed about the marking pattern and syllabus of MT.

Instructions to Candidates:(Regarding Question Paper)

1. The total test has a total of 200 questions to be attempted in 2 hours and 30 mins. All questions are compulsory and each question carries 1 mark.
2. All questions are of the multiple choice variety with 4 alternatives.
3.  The Question Paper has two sections:-
Section I- relates to the Technical / Administration discipline opted by you and has 100 questions to be attempted in 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Section II- with 100 questions covers –

i) General Awareness          ii) Verbal Ability  iii) Quantitative Aptitude        iv) Test of Reasoning to be attempted in 1 hour and 15 minutes.
4. While both the sections will be administered simultaneously, please DO NOT open the seal of Section II till 75 minutes after commencement of test.
5. Answers have to be provided in the  Answer Sheet by darkening the correct alternative in the appropriate shell with blue/black ball point pen.
6. Every incorrect response will entail a penalty of (-) 0.25 mark (negative marking).
In view of the tight time span, do not waste your time on a question which you find to be difficult. Go on solving questions one by one and come back to the difficult questions at the end.
The test booklet along with the Marked Answer Sheet & Admit Card has to be returned to the invigilator at the end of the examination.
Candidates need to qualify in both the sections and all the 4 sub sections of Section II.

INSTRUCTIONS Regarding Exam Conduct

  • You have to appear in the written test at the above mentioned date/time/venue at your own cost. No Travelling Allowance will be paid by the Company.
  • Admission to the test center will be on production of this admit card only.
  • Candidates who are issued Admit Cards for the Written Test are to also bring the Original SAIL Copy of the SBI Challan Form on the Test day, failing which they will not be allowed to appear for the written test. Copy of the certificate/proof for SC/ST/PH/Departmental candidates is also required to be brought and submitted failing which such candidates will not be allowed appear for the Test.
  • Please paste your passport size photograph on the Admit Card if the scanned photo is not visible. Also bring one photo identity proof (Driving license/Voter ID card etc.) for verification purpose.
  • Candidates will need to ensure that they reach the test venue as per the reporting time specified in the Admit Card. Late Comers will not be permitted to appear in the test.
  • This Admit Card shall be valid only at the venue specified therein. Candidates shall not be allowed to attempt the test at any other venue. Please ensure that your Admit Card is signed by the room invigilator in the box provided above. This admit card should be brought to the examination center and handed over to the invigilator.
  • Candidates should carry blue/black ball point pen. Candidates shall not be allowed to share or borrow Stationary items from other candidates.
  • All other items such as Calculators, Electronic Diary, Cell Phones, Writing Pads, Pencil Boxes, Beepers, Cameras etc will not be allowed into the Examination Hall. Candidates will have to leave the same, at their own risk, outside the examination hall. Any candidate found in possession of such unauthorized material or indulging in copying or adopting unfair means will be summarily disqualified.
  • Candidates shall not be allowed to leave the Examination Hall, for any reason, Once the question papers have been distributed til the end of the test.
  • Only those candidates who fulfill all the eligibility criteria should appear in the test. If at any stage it is found that you are not eligible for the post, your candidature will be summarily rejected.
  • Candidates shortlisted on the basis of written test shall have to appear for interview and group discussion in due course.
  • The test booklet, answer sheet, admit card & the Original SAIL Copy of the SBI Challan Form should be handed over to the invigilator after the test
